With summer just around the corner, it’s time to get our backyards and gardens ready. There’s so much you can do to enhance your garden, but you don’t have to make it a big project nor spend a fortune. These 5 simple tasks will make a positive difference and can be done cheaply.
Tidy Up
Before adding anything new, it’s best to clear away anything unwanted in your garden – from weeds to old furnishings. This includes mowing, trimming, and pruning too. Tidying up your yard/garden will not only make it look better, it will create space for new ideas.
Furnish
If you don’t have a table and chairs in your yard, you should definitely invest in a set to help you make the most of your outdoor space. If you already have a set, you may want to look at furnishings such as lounge chairs, which are great for soaking in the sun with a book, or even a fire pit for social gatherings. Anything new will bring excitement and life into your space.
Plant
Never stop planting! Add coloured plants to add vibrancy, start a veggie patch or herb garden to enjoy the fruits of your labour, and/or simply plant more bushes to add coziness.
Accessorise
You can pick up fun and homey garden ornaments that will add personality and character to your garden. These can be anything from decorative plant pots to bird feeders. Treat your outdoor space as you would your living room.
Add Privacy
We’re so used to having total privacy inside our homes that we can get uncomfortable in our garden afraid of what the neighbours can see or hear. There’s always a solution! Building a tall fence or planting tall trees will help create a barrier to ensure your house is private both internally and externally.
