Following up from our last post on Wellington, it’s now time we dive into Swiftform’s hometown. Laundry breaks are just as fulfilling and fun in Christchurch with an abundance of parks, gardens, and natural reserves. The following are our recommended centrally located short walks to easily squeeze in between cycles.
Panako Walkway – Located in the Styx Mill Conservation Reserve, this easy & relaxing 20 minute stroll wanders alongside the lake to a lookout and down past a few paddocks.
Ötukaikino – Located in Belfast, this 30 minute loop walk surrounds a 13-ha freshwater wetland reserve filled with ducks and pükeko.
Lyttleton Coastal Path – Who doesn’t love the feeling of being at the sea? This coastline track is well-formed connecting Cass Bay, Corsair Bay, and Magazine Bay. It can take a full hour to walk the path from start to finish so you may just want to break it up. Cass Bay to Corsair Bay is only 20minutes.
Cashmere Hill Loop – Meandering through Seattle Gardens and Gansu Gardens, this scenic 20 minute circuit is located inside the lovely Halswell Quarry Park.
